Service: Fall Fling volunteer work

Learning Outcome 1: 

    These past few weeks I have been working with a number of my peers in an effort to organize our high schools first ever fall fling. Although this may seem simple, it remains a challenge for me as I have to be more of an advocate for the event. I still find public speaking to be difficult as I can be somewhat shy. As such, it took a great deal of my own strength to be more vocal about the event in the community and such. Furthermore, I had to be more assertive within the group of organizers. This was an extremely good opportunity for me to recognize my own strengths and potentials and put them to use amongst my own community.

Creativity: After Effect

Learning Outcome 2; challenge and developed skill

     This week I tried to make another one of my edits using Ae. I've only been doing this for the past couple months or so and so I'm still struggling to figure out what's what and what 'what' does. I love it though. I am not the greatest at art and so this gives me the opportunity to express my own creative ideas without having the need to be good with a pen or a brush. Each time I do this I have to overcome a barrier because each time I do this I aim to make it better, different and smoother than the last edit I did. This means that I need to find new ways to be creative within the same parameter and so I sometimes struggle to come up with ideas for what to do. Not only that but I also struggle on deciding what my next piece will be. This is also how I relax and put my mind at ease because despite the fact that making these things using After Affects is somewhat hard I enjoy it and so it doesn't feel as taxing as my other hobbies like soccer. I love being able to be creative and use effects too create something that I see as visually pleasing.
